How to Stay in Action

I had a physically demanding week this week and I found myself in the state where I just did not want to do anything.  I let up on my work towards the end of the week and then had a huge flow of work that came in on Friday.
I will have to say that getting the ball rolling and starting to move again on my activity after slowing down a little was very difficult.  I did not want to do anything except for slosh around in my own self loathing and come up with excuses for myself as to why I should not have to do any work.  It was a whole load of pathetic inactivity that keeps me from my goals.
Her are some thoughts that I would like to employ in the future to stay in action and not get stuck in my own mud.
1.  Have fallback activities to do when the pace slows down - Start with easy work.  This can be things that you like to do that are not too physically or mentally grueling.  Getting started is the hardest part and if you have a trigger to get started then you are more likely to get started.
2.  Do not avoid the difficult? - I have found myself in situations in life where I have avoided doing what I know is the right thing to do and I have done it for a long period of time.  These have been the most depressing times of my life and the times when I have gotten in the most trouble from a professional standpoint.  One avoidance leads the second avoidance, which leads to the third avoidance and then all of sudden I am completely stopped with no real way to get out of the situation that I am in.
3.  Don't expect every day to be your best day - I, like a lot of the readers, am very hard on myself and I expect great things from myself almost every day.  Well, the truth of the matter is that...
