I am in love with Marketing Systems and coming up with new marketing strategies. I have even considered making my entire business based on evaluating different strategies.
However, I have found that my pursuit of the perfect strategy or the perfect way to execute a plan have left me with a lot less time to implement than what I actually need.
As a result, I have created a rule for myself that any activity for 11:00pm every day is something that can directly impact my business and will be result-producing in my business.
After 11pm, I have the freedom to explore alternate solutions or think of new strategies for success.
I admit that this may be a little late in the day and there is probably room for more strategy time. However, given that I have focused on strategy a little too much in the past and consider myself good at that part and not as good at the execution part, I need to spend most, if not all of my time in execution.
It is a little challenging because, even as I write this post, I realize that there are probably better ways that I can be doing the things that I am doing right now. I am challenged with continuing to write or working on improving my process real time.
Of course, I continue to write because it is very possible that what I am doing now is everything that I need to be doing to achieve my goals. However, if I do not put in the reps or put in the hours to do what I am doing (writing), I would never know.
