Get Moving - One Step at a Time



We have all faced those moments in our lies when we did not know what to do to move forward. It is like our feet are stuck in quick sand. Sometimes, we do not want to get out of bed. However, we want something more for our lives and something deep inside allows us to awake and get started. We take the first step to get out of bed and move int he right direction. Then, we take a few steps back. Success comes when we are able to take small steps forward each day.
Real success comes when we are able to take those steps forward on the days when we do not want to. Here are a couple of tips on ways to take steps forward int he right direction, no matter where you are right now.
1. Ignore Perfection. Just Get Started - I used to struggle with not getting going on things because I Wanted them to be great. As a result, I need the perfect storm of energy, excitement, the right idea to get stuff done. It was so easy for me to be stopped in my tracks because I needed perfection before taking action. Now, I just move forward int he right direction and do it every day. I can not see the incremental changes and I do not necessarily feel myself getting better every day. However, I know that I am getting better because when I look back over the long haul, I see amazing progress.
2. Get Enough Rest - This may seem like a no-brainer but, if you are like me, you need at least a minimum amount of of rest each day to be able to move forward with your life. Find out what the minimum amount of sleep is that you need to get each night and make sure that you get that amount of sleep. If you deprive your body and your mind of sleep, then it is very unlikely that you will not be able to perform at your best...
