The biggest asset or the biggest enemy is the space between your ears. You wake up each morning and either talk yourself into doing the actions that you need to do to be successful or you talk yourself out of the activities that you do not want to do to have success in your life. It is as simple as that. The questions is what conversation are you having in your had each day.
Are you talking yourself into success or some other conversation?
I wish I had a way to master my mind but here are the steps that I take each day in order to create a conversation for success as opposed to some other conversation that has no benefit in the long run.
1. Refocus on my primary goal - When I am talking myself out of success, I rarely am focus on my specific goals and where I want to go. Looking out into the horizon, whether it be for a little while or quite a distance allows me me to not focus on the small hurdle that is right in front of me that may be having me talk myself out of my success. Focus on a goal makes the hurdles seem to dissipate.
2. Figure out what I am avoiding and tackle that head on - A lot of people call this procrastination. There s always something in our lives that we are avoiding or not attacking the with the rigor that is required to have the success that we are looking for. Find out what that item is and take a little time to tackle it head on. What it does is frees up the energy that was previously used to focus on that item that was in your way...
